42% of Brits drink bottled water – is it good for kidneys?

A kidney doctor answers the question. The short answer is .. CKDEx has no idea. It’s probably all nonsense

In the latest data from Tappwater, it was found that:

  • 42% of the UK population drink bottled water regularly – as they do not trust or like the taste of tap water
  • This compares to 58% of people in France, 61% in the USA, and 75% in Italy – yes we have all fallen for it
  • There is considerable regional variation
  • In London 64% drink bottled water regularly.

  • 54% of Londoners use a water filter to improve the taste of tap water
  • 9% of Londoners perceive their tap water to be unsafe or very unsafe.

Summary

OK OK but is bottled water good (or bad) for the kidneys? CKDEx knows no evidence that it is good (or bad) for the kidneys.
