What is doxazosin?

  • Type of drug: alpha-blocker
  • Use: high blood pressure; benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH)
  • Dose: 2 mg once a day to 8 mg twice a day
  • Side-effects: feeling weak; headache; ankle swelling
  • Monitor: BP.
